The coal economy generates a large base of contractors, equipment suppliers, and logistics operators who coordinate largely offline despite handling significant transaction volumes. IIT-ISM's presence means technical talent is locally available even though most coal-linked businesses haven't yet invested in custom software beyond basic accounting tools.
