Cost of AWS Cloud Infrastructure Setup in 2026

What AWS infrastructure setup costs in 2026 — from a single EC2/RDS instance to a multi-region, compliance-ready cloud architecture.

Quick answer: a basic AWS setup costs ₹1–2.5 lakh, a mid-complexity setup with auto-scaling runs ₹4–9 lakh, and an enterprise multi-region setup costs ₹12–25 lakh+.

Cost here scales with how many AWS services are wired together and how much redundancy you build in. A single EC2 instance with an RDS database and S3 storage is a cheap, fast setup. A proper VPC with public/private subnets, auto-scaling groups, multi-AZ databases, and load balancers is a different order of work — and multi-region architecture with compliance tooling is a different order again.

Cost breakdown

  • Basic (₹1–2.5 lakh): single EC2/RDS instance, S3 storage, basic security groups, one region.
  • Mid-complexity (₹4–9 lakh): VPC with public/private subnets, auto-scaling groups, application load balancer, multi-AZ RDS, CloudWatch monitoring.
  • Enterprise (₹12–25 lakh+): multi-region architecture, WAF/Shield, IAM governance across teams, SOC2/HIPAA-ready compliance tooling, infrastructure as code (Terraform) across all environments.

Terraform (or equivalent IaC) is worth paying for even at the basic tier — hand-clicked AWS consoles become expensive to reproduce and audit later. Timeline: 1–4 weeks depending on tier.
